[st]right — Straight Mute

Standard straight mutes have a habit of choking and dying the moment you drop into the valve register. We designed the [st]right to fix exactly that. It speaks much more freely in the valve register, slots confidently up top, and keeps your intonation where it should be.

It sounds unapologetically sharp, loud, and the overall muting effect is intentionally kept minimal. It’s engineered for those moments when you need a razor-sharp brass sound to actually cut through the orchestra, making it a reliable tool for encounters with hard-of-hearing conductors who expect to hear your muted trombone over a fortissimo ensemble.

[ sidekick ] — Adjustable Add-On Cup

[ sidekick ] is a precise, sliding cup module that locks straight onto your [ st ]inger in seconds, saving you from carrying two separate mutes in your gig bag.

It features a 5 cm telescopic adjustment range to easily control both your volume and your sound profile. Push it fully closed for a dark, velvety, and intimate covered sound. Slide it out a full 50 mm to open up the physics, giving you a louder, projecting sound that keeps the distinct cup timbre without restricting your airflow.

You can purchase the [st]right and [ sidekick ] together, or if you are not sure at first, start with the straight mute and add the sidekick later. Buying them as a bundle from the start will save you some hard-earned cash, though.
